 High school graduates who took online mathematics courses on average did not perform as well on the NAEP 2009 twelfth-grade mathematics assessment as those graduates who did not take online mathematics courses.

 The average score on the NAEP 2009 twelfth-grade science assessment of graduates who took online science courses did not differ significantly from the score of graduates who did not take online science courses.
