District Science Results by Gender

Gender differences were not seen in most districts.

  • At grade 4, the difference between male and female students was not statistically significant in large central cities and in 9 out of 10 districts; however, in Austin and the nation male students outperformed female students.
  • At grade 8, the difference between male and female students was not statistically significant in 9 out of 10 districts; however, in Los Angeles, large central cities, and the nation male students outperformed female students.
