Calculator use on tests and quizzes

On approximately one-third of the assessment exercises, a scientific calculator was provided for students at grade 8. As part of the 2007 mathematics assessment, eighth-graders were asked about the frequency with which they use calculators while taking tests or quizzes. The full text of the question and the percentage of students who responded within each category are shown below.
