Reading for fun

 Grade 4
Grade 8

As part of the 2007 reading assessment, eighth-graders were asked about the amount of time they spent reading for fun. The full text of the question and the percentage of students who responded within each category are below.

How often do you read for fun on your own time?

A. Never or hardly ever
B. Once or twice a month
C. Once or twice a week
D. Almost every day
