Graduates Completing Higher Level Mathematics Courses Have Higher NAEP Scores

Gender
In 2005, males outperformed females by an average of 5 to 6 points if the highest level mathematics course completed was geometry, algebra II, advanced mathematics, or calculus. There was no significant gender difference in scores if the highest mathematics course completed was algebra I or below.
