2005 Graduates Complete More Challenging Curriculum Levels

A higher percentage of both male and female graduates completed standard, midlevel and rigorous curriculum levels in 2005 than in 1990. About 5 percent of male graduates had completed a rigorous curriculum compared to 4 percent of females in 1990. By 2005, female graduates had not only caught up with males but surpassed them. In 2005, 10 percent of male graduates completed a rigorous curriculum compared with 11 percent of females.
