Scores in music higher for students reporting higher levels of parental education
Average responding scale score in NAEP music at grade 8, by student-reported highest level of parental education: 2008
Findings
- Students who reported higher levels of parental education had higher responding scores in music.
- The average responding score of students who reported having at least one parent who completed college was 161. This score was higher than the scores of students who reported all other levels of parental education.
